Lace Ribbon Collection
History of Lace.
Artifacts found recently place lace as old as Ancient Roman times, but the origination of lace is very unclear. What historians do know is that Charles the Fifth decreed that lace making should be taught in Belgian schools during the Enlightenment and Renaissance period. Since then, lace has taken over the globe.
What is Lace Ribbon?
Lace ribbon is categorized as the perfect mixture between lace and ribbon. This means that the beautiful patterns of lace is intertwined with the texture and quality of ribbon to create a wonderful look that’s less expensive than pure lace. Lace Ribbon can be used to decorate gifts, as fabric trim for clothing, or for adorning wedding decorations and wedding invitations. The dainty look of lace ribbon make this a number one pick for bachelorette parties, bridal showers, baby showers, and weddings. Here are just a couple wonderful crafts you can create with a spool of lace ribbon:
Lace Ribbon Collection.
Colored Lace Ribbon
Colored Lace Ribbon adds some spunk to any decor. This ribbon comes in hot pink, chocolate brown, sultry black, and lovely white. The detail of the lace make this ribbon perfect for bridal showers and weddings. Use this ribbon as a table runner on your wedding day or as a decoration on your gift. Due to its wideness and thinness, this lace ribbon could be used for a multiple number of projects. And with fall coming around the corner, lace and burlap make one power couple to reckon with.
Wide Lace Ribbon
Made from lace, these wide lace ribbons come in a variety of colors. The most unique aspect of this lace ribbon is the edges that are cut (not bound). This gives the ribbon a more delicate feel and therefore could be used instead of lace for any project. Sturdy yet soft, these ribbons are perfect for adding a quaint charm in any decor for weddings or anniversaries. The vibrant color of red can be used on party invitations and the hot pink lace ribbon can be used for streamers for a bridal shower. The black ribbon (not shown in photo) would also be a nice addition to any clothing item like a hat.
Lace Ribbon Bows in Metallic
These lace ribbon bows come in the metallic colors of silver and gold. They’re about 4-inches big and are made into a butterfly bow that features intricate lace edging. What makes these bows unusual is that they come flat and with a quick pull, pop up into a bow. It makes it easy to store and easy to create when the time comes. These lace ribbon bows would look gorgeous on Christmas gift wrapping and could also be used to liven up any centerpiece. The metallic colors are wonderful holiday colors. You can even use these bows to adorn your favorite chandelier or Christmas tree.
Organza Lace Ribbon
This organza lace ribbon is easy to work into a pretty ruffle bow that measures about three inches. All you have to do is pull the string and the bow ruffles into a little pompom. Cut the yard of ribbon into 1 yard, since those make the best looking bows. The organza lace ribbon actually comes in a 25 yard spool and its made from finely woven organza ribbon that features a light shimmer and edged metallic gold and lace pattern. This organza lace ribbon resembles a rose or carnation when easily assembled into a pompom. I would use this organza lace ribbon to create centerpieces or crafts that need a beautiful red rose to jazz it up.
Lace Ribbon Butterfly Bows
Coming in a variety of colors with polka dots or solid pattern, this lace ribbon butterfly bow has lace-resembling scalloped edges that create a very detailed and soft appearance. These butterfly bows are flat when shipped but are created easily. All a person needs to do is pull on one ribbon flap to create a bow that can be easily attached to a gift. And with fun colors like pink polka dots, these lace ribbon butterfly bows can be used for a baby shower. Or even for a baby shower streamer and cake decoration. Each lace ribbon butterfly bow is about three inches and packs a playful punch.
