History of the Rings
Designed by Pierre de Coubertin in 1912, the Olympic rings represent the five parts of the world that participate in the games. Each color (blue, yellow, black, green, and red) mirrors the different colors found in the flags of each nation. Whether you are traveling to exotic China or tropical Brazil, everyone recognizes this international symbol.
